Training and Initial Studies
Hans Thyge Raunkjær began his design career with his studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. His education at the academy gave him the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the roots and philosophy of Scandinavian design. After graduating, Thyge worked on various projects, focusing particularly on furniture and product design.
In his early career, Hans Thyge had the opportunity to work at a number of prestigious design studios in Italy, where he developed a design philosophy that blends Italian craftsmanship with Danish minimalism. This experience was one of the key factors in shaping his design style.
