One of the most important elements of Scandinavian design, “hand work” is almost everything for the Carl Hansen company.
Founded in 1908, the company continues to produce the Model 24-WISHBONE Chair, perhaps one of the world’s most respected chair designs since 1950.
Having survived the 1930s economic storms by making wooden boxes for Singer brand sewing machines, the company succeeded to survive. After the war, the company made a partnership with furniture designer Hans Wegner, who is one of the pioneers of Danish Design Trend.
This union that continued until the death of H. Wegner actually continues today, as the company still continues to produce the work of this legendary designer. New products of Carl Hansen &Son that will be added to the NORDist collection will soon be in the store.
